FIXBOX Worldwide Movers GmbH (hereinafter referred to as "we") takes the handling of personal data with the utmost seriousness, has established guidelines for its protection, complies with other relevant laws and regulations, and will handle it as follows.

1. Protection and management of personal data


We have appointed a data controller who is responsible for protecting personal data, ensuring that it is managed in an appropriate and secure manner, and taking measures to prevent its leakage, loss, or damage.

Where we collect personal data from our customers, we only do so to the extent necessary for our business, in a lawful and fair manner, and only after clearly stating the purpose of the collection and scope of use and obtaining their consent. The following practices are used when collecting and using personal information.

  1. We will not use personal data for any purpose other than that for which it was collected unless the customer agrees otherwise. However, this does not apply in the case of points 1-4 of section "3. Purpose of use of personal data".
  2. Before storing or disclosing personal data to a third party, we will inform you in advance and obtain your consent first.
  3. In the case of a minor, we obtain the consent of the legal guardian.

 

3. How we use your personal data

 

The personal data we receive will be used to provide the following moving services:

I. Contacting customers for a home visit (e.g., pre-inspection, to perform work, etc.).

II. Visiting the customer at home (e.g., pre-inspection, to perform work, etc.).

Ⅲ. Provision of information (e.g. customs documents, international relocation manuals, relocation seminars, etc.)

Ⅳ. Import/export operations (e.g. customs clearance, ship and flight preparation, liaison with landing agents, etc.).

Ⅴ. Settlement (e.g. contacting your employer's responsible department)

Ⅵ. Additional services (e.g. passenger transport, car hire, etc.)

If we wish to use your personal data for a purpose other than the above, we will ask for your prior consent, except for the following:

  3. Where it is particularly necessary to protect public health and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person concerned.

4. Disclosure of personal data to third parties


We will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your consent, except in the following cases:

  2. During necessary data processing, maintenance, and administration of computer systems, etc. Always after taking appropriate protective measures.

  • EU subcontractors needed to carry out the work
  • Non-EU subcontractors needed to provide logistics

 

5. Processing of personal data by subcontractors


In order to provide the best service to our customers, we subcontract some work to specialist subcontractors. Depending on the nature of the job, it may be necessary to provide personal information to the subcontractor. In this case, we select a subcontractor who handles personal data in a correct and lawful manner and ensure that confidentiality is maintained.

 

6. Request for information on collected personal data and deletion


If you wish to be informed of the purpose of use, disclosure, amendment, correction, deletion, suspension of use, erasure or suspension of disclosure of your personal information to third parties, please contact us at the contacts below so that we can inform you of the necessary procedures.
